The highly flowering and long-lasting Campanula punctata 'Cherry Bells' is a perennial plant that forms vertical clumps with long, hanging cherry-red bells, adorned with cream-colored margins on the outside and purple freckles on the inside. It blooms from early summer to midsummer, with flowers appearing in terminal racemes from upright stems to the tops of elegant, arched stems. They rise above the basal leaves of medium-green, rounded, serrated foliage. This eye-catching bellflower, beloved by hummingbirds, is suitable for rock gardens and cottage gardens and can spread very quickly in dense soil.

It grows to a height of 12–24 inches (30–60 cm) and a width of 12–30 inches (30–45 cm). Under good growing conditions, it spreads freely via rhizomes and self-sowing.

It thrives in full sun or partial shade in average, medium, well-drained soil. In warm climates, it prefers partial shade. It requires steady watering! Ideal for beds, borders, ground surfaces, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. Freshly cut flowers are excellent.

This easy-to-grow perennial is virtually free of diseases and pests and is even resistant to deer.

Prune after flowering. Divide the clumps every 3 to 4 years in the autumn.
