It does not thrive in cold temperatures. - Humidity: It prefers high humidity, so when growing it indoors, it is recommended to use a humidifier or spray water around the pot to maintain humidity. - Watering: Water when the soil becomes slightly dry. Overwatering can cause root rot. Propagation Methods- Bulb Division: It can be propagated by dividing bulbs in the spring. Select healthy bulbs, divide them into appropriate sizes, and plant them in new pots. Cultivation Methods- Soil: It requires well-draining soil. It is recommended to use a mixture of peat moss and perlite. - Fertilizer: It is recommended to apply liquid fertilizer once every two weeks during the mid-growth stage. - Pot: It is important to replace the pot with one of an appropriate size before the roots become tangled. Uses in the Garden- Landscaping: Planting it in a bright, shady spot in the garden allows you to create a landscape utilizing its colorful foliage. In particular, it can stand out by creating a contrast with other plants. Important Pests and Diseases & Control Methods- Diseases: Leaves may turn yellow due to overwatering or sudden temperature changes. This can be prevented through proper drainage and temperature management. - Pests: It is susceptible to pests such as aphids and spider mites.
