The Santa-rita cactus is a succulent native to Mexico and the southwestern United States, characterized by its purple pads (circular stems). It prefers sunlight and thrives in dry environments. The Santa-rita cactus is primarily propagated by cutting off its pads. Cleanly cut off a mature pad and allow the wound to dry for 1 to 2 weeks. Then, plant it in well-draining soil and wait for roots to develop without watering.
